1. WHAT IS VINPOCETINE COVEX 5 mg tablets AND WHAT IT IS USED

Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of cognitive impairment associated with cerebral vascular disease. Before starting treatment should not be ruled degenerative disease of vascular cause (Alzheimer's disease).

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE VINPOCETINE COVEX 5 mg tablets

Do not take Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets:

  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to vinpocetine or any of the other ingredients.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you have a brain hemorrhage.
  • If you cranial hypertension.

Take special care with Covex Vinpocetine 5 mg tablets:

  • If you have heart problems.
  • If you are being treated with antiarrhythmic, antihypertensive or anticoagulants.
  • If you have liver failure.
  • If you have experienced intolerance to other vinca alkaloids.

Taking other medicines:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed.

Although not described, we can not rule out the possibility of interaction between vinpocetine and antiarrhythmic drugs, antihypertensives or blood thinners. If treatment with vinpocetine in patients treated with the aforementioned drugs is suitable it deemed necessary to monitor treatment.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.

Using Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Driving and using machines:

This medication may impair reaction which impairs the ability to drive and use machines, especially in cases of ingestion of the drug with alcohol.

Important information about some of the ingredients of Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets:

This medicine contains 66.55 mg lactose per tablet which should be considered in patients with impaired absorption of glucose-galactose, galactosemia or lactase deficiency .

If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

3. HOW TO TAKE VINPOCETINE COVEX 5 mg tablets

Follow the instructions administration of Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets exactly prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets given orally. The dosage of 5 mg Vinpocetine Covex is 1 or 2 tablets three times a day. Swallowing tablets during meals is recommended, without chewing.

If you take more Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets than you should:

If you or someone else has taken an overdose of vinpocetine, please tell your doctor who will tell you what steps to take.

There is no record of cases of poisoning by overdose Covex Vinpocetine 5 mg tablets. In case of overdose or accidental poisoning consult the Toxicology Information Service, telephone 91 562 04 20.

If you forget to take Covex Vinpocetine 5 mg tablets:

Do not take a double dose to make up for missed doses. Simply skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): headache, dizziness, mild episodes of fall in blood pressure, skin rashes and itching.

Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people): sleep disturbances, nervousness, anxiety, distress, numbness or tingling, tachycardia, abdominal pain or nausea.

Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people): gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia (bloating).

5. HOW TO STORE VINPOCETINE COVEX 5 mg tablets

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

Do not use Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets after the expiration date on the container.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Place containers and medicines no longer required in Point SIGRE SIGRE pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. This way you will help to protect the environment.

Composition of Vinpocetine Covex 5 mg tablets:

The active ingredient is Vinpocetine.

The other ingredients are lactose, hydroxypropyl cellulose low substituted, magnesium stearate and talc.

White, rounded, with Covex logo (Covex logo) on one side and a groove in the other tablets.

Container: The tablets are packaged in PVC / aluminum 25 tablets and presented in cartons of 25 and 50 tablets.
